Alums and current students joined together to welcome the Class of 2028 on July 13th in Carmel Valley.

Every February, Yale alumni from around the world come together in small gatherings and large groups. This year, the Yale Club of Monterey County gathered on Saturday, February 10th, at the home of an alum in Pacific Grove.

The Yale Club of Monterey County was excited to co-sponsor The Whiffenpoofs for a performance at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church in January.

Annually, Yale regional clubs and individual alumni celebrate and recognize outstanding secondary school junior class scholars, as determined by school officials. This recognition award includes an appropriate book to which is affixed a Yale bookplate inscribed with student’s name, date of award, Yale club sponsor, and/or award donor. Clubs or individual alumni purchase and inscribe the book, which is presented to the student at an appropriate ceremony. Students may not self-nominate or campaign for the award nor be related to individual Yale alumni award givers. Contact us for more information.

Interviewing with local Yale alumni offers the Yale applicant a way of getting to know a personal side of Yale without having to travel across the country.

The Yale Day of Service is held every year on the second Saturday in May with the goal that Yale alumni around the world will come together on or around that day to serve their local communities.

For several years, YCMC has collected new and used books in English and Spanish for 0 to 5 year-olds to donate to the local Read To Me Project, which was created by the parents of a Yale alum.

Each year, the Yale Club of Monterey County gets together for a brunch and viewing of the Harvard-Yale football game. This year, the event was at the home of a Yale alum in Monterey/Carmel Valley.
